The York Medical Clinic, P.C. is a professional corporation, which
began as a single physician practice in 1965. Dr Darroll Loschen
opened the clinic in that year in a storefront office in downtown
York, Nebraska. The clinic was later moved to north Lincoln Avenue,
just across form York General Hospital where it operated from the
late 1960s to 2005. In that year it moved to the new medical office
building, which was built and owned by the hospital.
Staff members of the Bell Clinic in York merged with the York
Medical Clinic in 1987 to form one family practice clinic for the
community. This merger allowed for more efficient operations and
better after hour coverage.
The York Medical Clinic opened its first satellite clinic in Polk,
Nebraska, which was later closed. A second satellite was opened in
Sutton, Nebraska which was later sold to the Henderson Clinic.
Stromsburg Medical Clinic was opened in 1987 and Exeter Medical
Clinic in 1992. Both remain as active practice locations today.
